Unlike a leaking faucet or toilet, a main water-line leak can continue losing water even when no plumbing fixtures are being used.


The challenge is determining where the leak is located, which section of piping has failed, and whether the damaged area should be repaired or the water service should be replaced.

Why Is Water Coming Up Through My Yard?

This means digging directly where water first appears does not guarantee the damaged pipe will be underneath that location.
